Augsburg have signed young winger Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur on loan for six months, with the option to buy.
The deal sees Kane join the Bundesliga side until the end of the season and then the option remains in place for a further year.
Kane has made just one appearance for Spurs this season, coming off the bench in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in November.
The England international was not included in the squad for Tuesday's Europa League match against Brann, although he is expected to be involved in the Premier League fixture at home to West Ham later this week.
He has been linked with a move away from Spurs in recent weeks, but Augsburg's decision to sign him on loan shows that they believe he has the potential to make an impact in Germany.
Kane is a highly-rated prospect who has already played for the England under-21s and U20s, as well as earning his first cap for the senior side last month.
His signing could give Augsburg some much-needed attacking options, with the club currently struggling for goals in their bid to avoid relegation.
However, it remains to be seen whether he can live up to the hype and deliver for Augsburg over the next few months.
